Grades of Individual Members
Honorary Fellow – an individual who has, in the Institute’s view, made an outstanding contribution to the cause of Islamic finance and whose services have been so recognised. An Honorary fellow is entitled to a lifetime membership and not subject to payment of any membership fee.
Fellow – an individual member who has successfully achieved the Institute’s Post-Graduate Diploma and has also served in the Islamic financial services industry in a responsible position for a minimum of 6 years. Additionally, senior industry practitioners also have the opportunity to become Fellows, even if they have not achieved the Institute’s Post Graduate Diploma provided that they have served in the Islamic financial services industry for a minimum of 9 years. Membership to the Fellow grade is subject to payment of a fee.
Associate Fellow – an Individual who has successfully achieved the Institute’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance and admitted as Associate Fellow of the Institute, subject to payment of the member fee.
Member – an individual who has an interest in Islamic finance and in the activities of the Institute, subject to payment of a fee.
All individual membership renewal will be on 1st January of each year and expires on 31 December of each year.
